Biography:
The Friedman Rosenthal Team, one of Halstead’s most successful and popular teams, is made up of Mark D. Friedman and Richard Rosenthal, whose success is based on shared values, dedication to their clients, and the ability to make the process enjoyable.
Diamond Club, Platinum Club, Producer’s Circle, Gold Circle - Mark and Richard have achieved all of these distinctions on their own and together which makes their partnership so strong. “Our business is built on referrals, acknowledged successes, recommendations from vendors and associates and our natural ability to network effortlessly,” they say. “Just walk a block with us anywhere in Manhattan and see how many people know us.”
Mark and Richard offer the size and quality of Halstead with the personal attention of concierge. They are comfortable and familiar with any size deal and treat everyone equally whether it’s a celebrity selling a $18M home or a first time buyer getting the first studio. They are the perfect choice: a personal team who acts like a boutique firm with the backing and marketing arm of a top NYC Real Estate brokerage company.
Mark grew up in Fairfield County, CT where he spent his formative years and moved to NYC in 1986. Mark’s father is a retired attorney and his mother is a 30 year member of The Outer Critics Circle with her own radio show on WMNR in CT. Mark has two big brothers, Paul who works in DC for Every Child That Matters and Roger. Mark spent 15 years in the health and fitness field in sales and management mostly for Crunch Fitness where he learned the art of customer service and marketing and was the most successful sales manager out of 20 locations, eventually becoming the area director of 10 locations. “I must have had over 10K clients over the years.” Mark still lives on the Upper West Side with his wife, Maxine, a well-known jewelry designer and their twin daughters who attend LaGuardia HS and School of the Future.
Mark has made giving back a big part of his life and works with The American Cancer Society and is on the event committee of Taste of Hope. He is a proud supporter of Guiding Eyes for the Blind and is currently raising his second puppy to be a service dog; The Actor’s Fund and is a member of REBNY, SAG-AFTRA and AEA since 1991. Mark is a graduate of Yale Drama School (SP), Cushing Academy, Ithaca College and New Actors Workshop taught by Mike Nichols, George Morrison and Paul Sills. Mark continues to do voice overs for radio and TV commercials.
Richard grew up in Valley Stream NY, graduated from Union College and moved back to NYC in 1983. He has a background in finance, sales and customer service having been Regional Director of a large UK based Software Company on Wall Street. After 20 years on Wall Street, Richard joined Halstead Property in 2003 and has had a rising career culminating in 2012 when he was enshrined in the Diamond Club at Halstead Property honoring those agents who have made a single sale of over $10M.
Richard and his wife Stacy, President and Owner of Fischer Travel, have lived on the Upper East Side since 1983. Richard sits on the Board of Directors of Ramapo For Children, a not-for-profit organization that works on behalf of children, including those with special needs, enabling them to succeed in the classroom, at home, and in life. The two of them are quite active with Memorial Sloan Kettering and Breast Cancer Research as well as Cornell University where their son Max is attending the School for Hotel Administration.
